Sophie's Room

Its not done yet but this is what we've got so far. We still need to hang the chandelier (I know, every baby needs a chandelier right?) Im still looking for a book shelf, and then Im going to put some vinyl lettering over her crib...I just need to figure out what poem/quote to use. I really didnt want to spend very much money so there are some things I would have loved to do that didnt happen, maybe later on I guess! My grandma made the doll on the shelf out of one of my great grandma's hand embroidered pillow cases, the mirror came all the way from my living room, and the lamp I got when I went to college...I just stole the lamp shade off one of the side lamps in my bed room that I knocked over and broke and added the ribbon and flower.
The bear on the rocking chair kind of came from my dad I guess. When I was a little girl, my mom was in the hospital. My dad took me to the store and helped me pick it out to take to my mom. After he died I kind of just kept it for myself because it reminded me of him. I think of him ever time I see it.

A cheese cake to die for!

For the longest time I have been trying to find a good cheese cake recipe. It took a while.....and some trial and error, but I think I've finally got something to work with. I've made this one three times and it keeps getting better and better. The best part is that it doesn't crack! Anyway, If you want the recipe let me know.

4. What does he do to surprise you? Everyday is a surprise. I never really know what to expect!

6.What is your favorite quality? His sense of humor. He can make anything and everything funny. He always makes me laugh. He is also extremely loyal, he loves his family and would do anything in the world for any of us.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Babe, Baby, Bubbles...dont ask me where that one came from but every once in a while it comes out.

8. What is his favorite food? He likes a lot of different things. Thai Curry, sushi, funeral potatoes, sea food. Always something different.

16. What is his favorite music? almost anything that I DON"T like.

17. What do you admire most about him? So many things! He is an incredible man. He has such a big heart and he would do anything for anyone. Last year we were going to my Friend's baby blessing and we were running late because we couldnt find her chapel. As we are winding threw random neighborhoods we saw this little old lady walking to church, she was a half a block away from the church and was about to cross the street. It was the end of January and a really cold icy morning. He didnt even think twice. He jumped out of the car and not only walked her across the street, but down the block and into the church. The whole thing took about 15 minutes and when he got back into the car he didnt say a word about it. He is always doing stuff like that. He is also willing to help others and always looking for that one person that needs a friend. When it comes to serving others he is completely selfless.
18. What is his favorite color? Blue....but now that we are having a girl I catch him getting all gooey over anything pink!

I love you so much Robby!!!!

And This.....

Is it just me or does the last month seem to go on and on forever! I just want her to get here. I miss breathing, and having energy, and looking down and seeing my feet...I haven't seen them for a couple months now, and sleeping on my stomach, and my pre-pregnancy clothes and shoes! I am so looking forward to getting back to the gym, and running, and swimming, and training to look like this....... (a girl can dream right!?!)But mostly Im looking forward to holding my little Sophie. Im dying with anticipation to know what she will look like. I hope she gets her dad's red hair and blue eyes and big lips,

and my ears (funny request I know, but red heads have a tendency to have big ears). As illustrated below!

I hope she has his energy and sense of humor, and my spunk. I hope she walks on her toes like every Andreason before her and has rosy cheeks and a twinkle in her eye like my dad. Oh, and freckles! I love freckles!

Sophie is such a lucky little girl! She has the two best grandma's ever. They are so excited for her to get here, and I cant wait for her to get to know these two amazing women. She will have so much fun with them!

Rob's mom got this bedding for Sophie for Christmas. I LOVE it and think it looks adorable in her room. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

I have been looking everywhere for just the right rocker/glider and have had no luck. Everything has either been too beat up or too expensive. My mom found this little project at an antique store in the avenues and got it for me. I'm so excited! I LOVE projects! It is seriously so comfy and looks adorable in Sophie's room. Thanks Mom!!!

I seriously would be lost with out these two women....I'm so blessed!
